B+Q are selling off peat based compost for 50p for 50 litre bag poss because it is peat based
dont if this is general our just our area Havering,

that's worth looking at Steven at that price I think I was reading B&Q are going over to peat free although I've just bought a pallet load of peat based compost for next season its never the less worth buying that at that price many thanks for giving us that advise may be not in our area but still worth having a look

A great deal :D I'd just add a little more fertilizer to it, if it is last year's stock - it tends to need it after the extra long storage IMO

There were big problems with compost deliveries over the early covids periods, and supplies were available, but not getting onto the lorries - it went on for some time!
I guess that large buyers/suppliers like B and Q got quite a lot factored in, and now it's either unfashionable, or past it's plant-by date!
Personally, I'd use the stuff just like Mum says, but the cost of getting to the store nearly outweighs the saving, and also our local GC chum loads it into the boot for me...
