Pelleted Fertiliser
« on: April 18, 2011, 18:04 »
I have just bought some pelleted Vitax Q4, its for my exhibition carrots, but with it being pelleted it could cause the carrots to fork, would it be ok to ground it up?

I don't grow exhibition carrots but for normal 'eaty' ones I don't fertilize at all apart from a little BFB worked into the soil. Fresh manure or stones are more likely to cause your carrots to fork.
