They look lovely Marg, yes, it has been my best year for cabbages too!!!  but my cauliflowers were still tiny.

I'm jealous!  I lost almost every single brassica earlier on in the year mainly to slugs.  I have managed to save 2 red cabbages but the pigeons are trying to finish off what the slugs missed.  Even the kale is getting eaten before it has a chance to get established.

mmm as you can see i,v used plenty of netting to keep the skyrats off. that and the nasturtiums seem to have kept most of the cabbage whites off as well

I had problems last year with pigeons attacking my PSB, I tied video tape streamers to canes placed among the plants and that seemed to put them off. Worth giving it a try.
