Dont know what its called but its everywhere here, I'm pulling it out all the time.  It spreads like crazy.

Is it borage? Hairy leaves,cucumber taste? Only known use is flowers floatwd on top of cocktails

spana i have just googled alkanet and i think that you are right and it is also related to borage so i think i have my answer ,
now can i use it as a comfrey or just best to get rid altogether

Its green alkanet alright, spreads like wildfire.I would defo pull it up.
A few people on our site were growing it as they thought it was comfrey, i told them  what it was and they pulled it up pretty quickly.

Woops! Got a few roots of this from a friend for my country garden thinking it was Borage! Now I've looked at some pictures I can see the difference!
At the time I thought the root was like Comfrey.... a huge tap root.
Better yank it out quick! It's flowering!
