It's been a nice pleasant day here and i've been tidying back garden a bit.  Grew lots of toms & chillis last year and at end of season just piled up pots and left em.

Today emptied all pots on garden, to the chucks delight.  They've been scratching about all day grubbing out worms & other critters.

They've covered me in soil (they're not bothered where thick kick it), and, caused general havoc with the bin liner iv'e been gathering rubbish in.

All accompanied by a happy satisfied cooing, and now they've all got full crops of worms N muck.

The happiest i've seen em for ages.

Back in suffolk I used to empty a lot of my spent compost in the run for the girls.........don't they just love it!!!!!!! ................I used to love watching them fight over the smallest of grubs....bless 'em!!!

I do that with my old pots of stuff.  They love it don't they??

Yeah, was tidying up back garden and couldn't believe what I was doing, I started putting all the stuff from pots into bin liners, then I came to my senses and started dumping it on the ground.

Less landfill & very happy hens.
