Bee keeping courses
« on: November 03, 2009, 10:08 »
I notice that the Field Studies Council is running bee keeping courses at Flatford Mill next year. Might be of interest, FSC course are normally very good: http://www.field-studies-council.org/2010/courseinfo.aspx?id=178
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

That's interesting noshed, thanks. They are not far from me and I half looked into some of their courses. Have you been to any of the others?

I've done a couple of watercolour ones at Flatford Mill and some geology ones in Snowdonia and Scotland. They were very good - good instructors, nice food, good accommodation and a good crowd of people.

Thanks ;)
The geology sounds interesting ::) but watercolour for me would be a complete waste of money
I've provisionally booked myself on the bee keeping course, and have been sorely tempted by the basket weaving course, which runs next weekend (14th) but so much going on at the moment, it will have to wait for next year :)
I won't be residing as there's no point, only live 15 minutes up the road - shame I'll miss the good grub :(
