I have made some strawberry jam and have no where suitable to store it. However I do have a virtually empty fridge in the garage. Can I store all my home made jam and chutneys in the fridge. ??

I shall presume that you mean they are in air tight jars?

I keep mine in the cupboard's not the fridge.

Should be fine Jazzbyrd - storage instructions on every shop bought one tells you to refrigerate once opened, so storing them in there shouldn't harm them - they'll just be a bit cold thats all!

The after opening instruction is given as the seal of the jar and the sterile conditions have effectively been broken once you open it, so the contents are far more suceptible to bacteria contamination and mould growth
