Can you freeze cooked quiche?

That's the question.

Made a quiche yesterday - now we're both having fasting each week, it will go off before we can finish it!! :)

Yes - I do all the time  :)  I always make 2 and freeze one.  After a quick warm through in the oven, you would never know  ;)  If it is just part of one, I would slice it and freeze slices wrapped in tinfoil, so they can go straight from the freezer to the fridge to defrost, then into oven to warm  :)

I can solve that for you - shall I PM you my address  :tongue2:

As Shoots says freezes fine but don't reheat it in the microwave - not good.

Thanks both.
I tend not to reheat quiche anyway - I like it cold so I'll just let it defrost and leave it out the fridge for an hour before I eat it ;)

We restrict/fast 2-3 days a week so we don't eat that sort of thing on low calorie days ;)
Hence it going off before it's eaten :)

I found  mine went soggy cold so I ended up reheating it.

I agree pastry and the microwave don't do well together , feeling inspired to do quiche .

Mmm, bit like MC, whenever I have just defrosted a quicke, it does go a bit soggy, but warming it up in the oven, helps dry that out a bit!

But try it and see, if not, send it to Lardman!   ;) ;)

I usually give mine a quick one minute in the microwave straight from the freezer, and then onto a metal baking sheet in a very hot oven for about five mins.  The pastry comes out lovely and crisp, and the quiche tastes as if it's just been baked.
