Storing Beet/carrots
« on: June 28, 2010, 13:20 »
Help please for ideas on storing beetroot and carrots. I know that many people build clamps but where I live this is not possible. I've read that you can store in sand in wooden or polystyrene boxes. Firstly anybody know where you can get these - local grocers don't seem to use them anymore. Also will any type of sand do? Many thanks for any ideas/help.

Any old box will do, wooden or plastic. Best to use horticultureal or sharp sand.
