Nice work, Leeky. Over here, all our railway sleepers are heavily treated with black creosote, which will leach into the soil, so they're not a good choice for us

hi all

you can buy these new sleepers from most builders merchants approx £18.00 each or there abouts.  they are prone to cracking and splitting when the weather is warm for any prolonged period as i have found out this year.

cheers

Hi

Shaun if you can get that sort of money for weathered sleepers then i can definitely supply them even with the cost of  a 40' trailer delivering them to you there is a penny or two to be made.

you are not that far from me and i cant understand why you would think they would be that expensive

do you have the adtrader in your part

check out prices

cheers

sorry to jump in fellas, but they can be found cheap. mate told me other day about 15 for 30 quid or was it 10 for 30 quid? any road up even if hiring a van for half a day to go and get them plus the gas, still a nice deal.
