Was just going to say that Lakeland do them - please go through the allotment shop as we earn a small commission.

Try the Baby section in the supermarket.

I had some from Morrison's, 3 large ones, if I remember rightly they were a good price too around about £1.50.   :)

I bought a couple of metres of muslin from John Lewis and cut it into squares.

Me too but from ebay and will take me years to get through the £5 worth of muslin (about 15m!).
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.

What would make muslin not suitable for jam making?  I've got some of the lakeland muslin but hadn't (yet) used it for jam.

The Lakeland squares are not big enough, they are only big enough to wrap around a bunch of herbs :(

How big does it have to be for jam?  The lakeland ones I've got seem a reasonable size - they're folded in quarters to fit into the packet, so that isn't the size of the actual material.  Can't remember exactly how big they are, though.
