Rocket and Winston variety potatoes
« on: April 09, 2009, 21:36 »
Having broken my back putting in these two varieties of potatoes I was reliably informed that Rocket are not very nice!

Anyone tried them and liked them?

I've not tried Rocket, but I can tell you I found Winston to be very bland. It's best use is as a show potato.

I grew rocket last year and had a heavy crop from my tiny raised bed in the garden.
my mum bought the seed spuds from a seed specialist and was told that they dont flower, well mine didnt flower so i just dug them up when i thought the time was right and there were loads of them!

I have not heard of these varieties but if you google potato rocket and potato winston you can find out all about them. Seem a good choice to me. As for taste only you can decide.
