Hi,
I have a Sorrel plant, and I'd like to have more.
All the recipes I can find ask for more leaves than I have on the plant!

Can I divide the plant in two? When's the correct time to do this?
I think I've read somewhere that you can take root cuttings to get more Sorrel plants. How do I do this, and when?

I bought a packet of Sorrel seed. Broadcast sowed, all has come up.
You can't divide it, so seed is the best method
Good with fish, very lemoney, hardley ever see it for sale

You can try root cuttings, but the seed seems easier. Let it grow seed and carefully collect when dry, put a plastic bag over one seed head, lose the rest, as this will be plenty, unless you want an infestation, think dockweed.

I just pick my on my walks with the dogs. It can be quite invasive as a garden plant. As in all the seeds take!!

My Sorrel is currently in a pot.
I think I'll leave it there to make sure it doesn't spread over the whole garden. I'll wait till it flowers and collect seed.
