... what this yellow plant towaeds the back is? I really like it and want to propagate more of it but need to identify it first so I can work out it I need to do cuttings or something else! It is about 30-50cm tall

Thank you! Off to google how to propagate...

Edit: Mr Google says it spreads easily and can turn invasive so perhaps I won't try to propagate it too much!

We have two quite large areas of Loosestrife, and about now, in the large clumps, it looks great, but gets very untidy later on, so I strim it.

It doesn't mind being flattened every year, and forms a decent mulch if done properly!
