Was on the plot today and around midday it was fine, but felt the temperature noticeably drop around 3. Brrrrrr!

I think my super dooper outdoor radio thermometer and rain gauge was not the best buy. It's telling me that it's -26.8ºC outside 

So, it's cold enough that I had to break the ice on the chook's water but not so cold I'd need to defrost them!

Beautifully sunny but breezy day. Temp just now is 2C with an overnight low in the polytunnel of -4.5C. Ground is drying up nicely

Just back from the plot, it was t shirt weather! Mind you, it is south facing and fairly sheltered so perhaps not representative.

Low temp (overnight in the greenhouse) -2.5C rising to a high 5C (18C in the greenhouse ) but bitter cold in the NE wind

Not too bad for cold weather - sunny with a light breeze and drying the plots. Mind the frost didn't properly lift. Don't think it's going to last though.

25 degrees in the polytunnel! Opened the doors and within a minute it was 16 and falling so shut them again.

For us, next Wednesday looks like being really cold. At least it's not 2010 and minus 15 again.

That just reminded me of fighting through a blizzard on foot to get a bottle of Advocaat for Val. The offie was shut so trudged on to the next. Bought it and trudged back. She changed her mind about wanting a glass of it

Local Met station shows -3. Feels like -8 with wind chill.

Unusually high pressure here of 1034mb, so it's quite sunny, but that doesn't mean it's warm (1.6C with a 'feels like' of -4.2C in the easterly breeze according to my local weather station.)

Much the same here Brr! Just taken veg waste round to the plot and all the water butts are frozen solid - hope they don't split 
It's 23C in the greenhouse so I'm taking my coffee and the paper out there

Quite a nice day with a light breeze, blue skies and lots of sunshine. Methinks I'll close the curtains tonight as it's about to get, er, rather chilly very shortly!
