Looking at the forecast I think (hope) that's the last frost risk day round here. We're off on hols on Monday so my tomatoes will be in their grow bags once it warms up tomorrow then they are on their own for a week. Hopefully daughter will give them some water if she gets time to come round. 😱😱😱

Cheers HH
Keep digging

Blimey, did anyone see the forecast on Countryfile?

Really cold (I think his words were not far from freezing temperatures out in the countryside tonight and tomorrow

Looked for my local forecast online and it says
Quote
feeling chilly with a grass frost possible in prone rural location
and just about everything is out now  :(

So I'll fleece the runners in the garden - haven't got enough to cover everything out on the plot - Oh well!

We are forecast an overnight low of 9 degrees, so I'll close the greenhouse up later on and hope the rest is OK.

Fingers crossed for you that it doesn't get as bad down your way as they are saying :)

And we've just put our two pampered 'Crimson Crush' toms outside for the season...

Everything else is out as well, so Paaaaaah, they can fight the good fight, can't they..?

Not looked at the plot yet but garden stuff ok, 5C overnight in the greenhouse  :(

It's weird though, because I thought tomatoes were hardier than peppers - but it's the tomatoes, not the peppers, that are looking a bit sorry for themselves with these up/down temperatures

Called in this morning on the lottie and the max min thermometer said that yesterday it got up to 95 and overnight down to 4 .....  We are in a frost pocket but still!  All well though so it couldnt have lasted and the ground is very warm.
