The OH went to Wilco other day and bought seeds on buy two get one free. Strategically paired them up much to the annoyance of the person on the till - 'your not supposed to pair them up like that!'

Have just read a post on BBC gardening web site about the Wilco till computer system not being able to cotton on to it , may only be a question of time before they amend.

Am I being dense, but I don't understand what you mean by strategically matching them?  ???

so you get some expensive seeds free, rather than them giving you the cheap seeds free  ;)

it's usually the cheapest free.
T*scos had pet food on the same offer a while ago - so I placed two the same then a new customer sign then 2 of another item etc. This way I got sacks of dog feed free rather than paying for 6 and getting their cheaper treats free (dog feed £15 plus a sack whereas their treats are just £1+)
