Title: Sweet Pea support
Post by: miggs on March 29, 2017, 14:00
What do you fine people use to support your Sweet peas. Rather than use Bamboo canes, I am looking to possibly make a permanent frame/support. Looking for good ideas.

Thanks in advance.

Last year I grew sweetpeas up a tall wigwam made of hazel sticks and brushwood, but it only lasted one season.

You could try some weldmesh or plastic covered mesh stretched taught between two decent posts with side braces. It worked well for mangetout here, so I guess sweetpeas would be fine on it too
