Ivr sen a lot of people ordering seeds, just wondering where everyone gets them from?
-
Premier seeds direct on ebay

Premier seeds direct on ebay
Ditto. They are now on Amazon too. :)
-
Kings seeds
-
The association gets its wholesale loose seed from Kings, I think.
We order Mr Fothergills packeted seeds for the members via our wholesalers (Gro-well) and sell them at 35% discount off RRP.
We also have 10% discount arrangements with a couple of local independent gardening shops.
-
If I was buying them now I would be hurrying down to my local garden centre so that I could get them in as soon as possible.
-
Kings for me as we get a discount through our horticultural society this is a (bulk order) :)
-
Thanks all, I've already got my lot but wondered in general as I just got them from homebase
-
I've used Kings Seeds, Premier Seeds and Moles seeds this year. All 3 are excellent and I highly recommend :)
-
Real Seeds on the t'interweb - never used them before, but very happy indeed with the quality and varieties and will definately be using them again :)
-
Real Seeds are good for heritage and unusual stuff. Been very good last few years...
My local gardening/diy/weird things place tends to sell off their seed stock in September - any packet for 20p - most of my purchases are done there (and then) - my general seeds come from there...
Cheers,
Balders

Premier seeds direct on ebay
Same here or amazon

I have used www.seedparade.co.uk for years and really great service and value.
-
I only used to use dt browns, but to get the widest possible choice I've used a few this year. Browns, medwyns of Anglesea, real seeds, Simpsons seeds. All have been very good to be honest. Medwyns and Simpsons both had excellent germination rates this year..

Moles for me. Very hard to beat the value for seeds in quantity.
-
Realseeds, Premier Seeds Direct, Pennard Plants, Adaptive Seeds (US), Marshalls (Onion Sets), Seeds of Italy, Heritage Harvest Seed (US, before they stopped shipping internationally). Probably more but those are the ones I can think of :)

Moles for me. Very hard to beat the value for seeds in quantity.
Me too.
-
Thanks all, will have a look

My favourites, in order, are Real Seeds, Simpson's Seeds, Tuckers, King's, Seeds of Italy all internet shopping. Occasional purchases from Wilkinson's and Aldi.
-
Premier Seeds - ebay (http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Premier-Seeds-Direct?_trksid=p2047675.l2563)
Been very reliable for delivery and quality. Good communications too when I have had questions.
-
Simplyseed.co.uk. I used them last year and had excellent germination rates. The seed potatoes were still perfectly dormant when they arrived in the post. The crop I had was superb. They are cheap too with freepost if you spend a certain amount on seed (£10 I think)

This was a really useful thread. I went to have a look at Moles Seeds as I had not heard of them before. Really impressed seems good value and a nice easy to use website. I found spaghetti squash and all my usual suppliers were not stocking it. So I made an order. Spaghetti squash back on the menu for Autumn. Thanks

Real Seeds, as then I can save seeds from lots of veg myself as they will come true
50p end of season sale at Wyvale every year (and yes, I now go with a list ) and this includes expensive Telegraph cucumber seed etc :D :D
Premier Seeds for anything I cannot get from these two
Plus (deep breath here) T&M - bought in local GC - for Panache parsnip seed as this is the one I like the best of all the ones I have grown (which admittedly is not more than about five or six)
-
Kings through the allotment association (major fund raiser) for most of them, with top ups from Aldi and Wilks. Seed potatoes and occasional seeds of italy from local nursery and onion/shallot sets from Wilks.
Moles are great for bulk seeds. I've bought green manure seeds from them. But I only have a half plot ....
-
Seeds of Italy, for the most part for the last 2 years. Excellent crops and a real diversity of plant types- also a very friendly email service offering tips for each month, and where to catch Paolo playing his accordion! :D
