Same here weeds seem to be taking a break as are the slugs and snails.I planted 20 marigold plants out three days ago and nothing has touched them.I always plant them a bit closer than recommended to allow for what slugs and snails eat.Might have to do some thining this year

Well, we had the first new potatoes of the year today (greenhouse grown) and I've also been picking lettuce and spring onions, as well as rhubarb.

If you want to know what happened to the weeds and slugs just water the ground.  ;)

Despite it being dry, slugs have been pretty active here. They were munching on emerging potato leaves and my newly transplanted sweet peas disappeared overnight.

On the next door plot they planted out cabbages and netted them against pigeons but didn`t put down slug pellets. There isn`t much left of the plants now.
I`m left handed, what`s your excuse?

Seem to remember it was similar last yeat but not quite as dry.  Seasons are definately on the change   not necessarily for the better.  Can't remember my tubs being as dry in over 30 years  -  a bit scary if you think about it.
