Ebay and hatching eggs

Has anyone purchased hatching eggs from Ebay?

Was the fertility rate any good?

Would anyone even consider buying some at this time of year?

hi, ive bought from the same seller twice on ebay.

first time 5 out of 6 hatched - growing up lovely

second time all 6 infertile.

its a 50/50 chance

First of all find yourself a good honest supplier, thats the problem.

I know of someone :roll: whose had eggs sent to them from America by ordinary post and they have enjoyed 70 to 80% hatch rates. In view of this, you would say that up and down a motorway here in the UK shouldn't be a problem but !

Even at home under broodies I still have poor hatching at times and the eggs, only move 10 yards if at all so there can be no guaretees with any eggs really.

i bought a lucky dip batch of eggs off ebay, 6 out of 12 hatched and are about 6 weeks old now and doing great, you can only try, check feedback first though
