This is my lot today 'helping' me tidy up the back garden

After eating bugs and slugs till their eye's bulged, they decided enough was enough and I looked round to find they had all decamped back to Chez Chook   The house is closed in these piccies as I was trying to distract 3 broodies - no chance - they were straight back in as soon as I opened the door again  ::)

My Jack Russell guarding his flock!
He will not let us sit down in the morning until we have done the chickens and stands at the gate whining in the evening.  Any squarking from them and he is off like a shot to make sure they are OK.  He saw off a fox a few weeks ago. :D
