Could you advise us on the following;
When we bought our chikens, ( Black Rocks) they advised us to keep them in a run all the time, as our field where they live is not near our house, and is in a very rural position. We have been told that the council release town foxs in the area as well. We would like our chickens to roam free on our field we have 2 acres during the day and be housed at night.
Do you think it is a good idea or do you think we may lose them.
I would be so upset if they were badly injured, in pain or killed   :cry: by a predator? Our two ponies live on the field as well. :?:

ask a local gamekeeper what he thinks ,he can let you know about fox problems , unless you see folks releasing foxes locally take it with a pinch of salt .,lots of scaremongering went on .but i did see it myself and catch the #############
