We have a hen that has bubbly froth coming from her eyes and mouth .

Poo i think is ok but are keeping an eye for a double check .
Eating and drinking ok .
Froth is white .
Not sure if shes layed or not .
Breathing seems ok .
Shes just standing about not seeming her self .
Doesnt seem to be a funny smell .

Please can someone help .

It sounds like mycoplasma Catii - trip to the vet I'm afraid, antibiotic needed

Will she be okay then after the antibiotics . Will she be able to hold on till Monday do you think ??

Is there anything that you coould sudgest we could give that we may have ?

Dad has put some garlic in the waterif thats any good ?

Thats a good idea catii, plus you could add some apple cider vinegar too if you have any.

i would try to get a vet that's open on saturday - we had to go a different vet from our normal one, but it as in the yellow pages.
better to be safe than sorry..

i agree it will be  a trip to the vets , she may survive but it really depends how long shes had it before u noticed any syptoms . mine at this back in the winter an 2 never made it

We have given her all we can give her at the mo . Shes drinking and eating and moving about now shes been separated.

Will try gettiing her to the vets asap .

Hiya Catii 
One of my girls had mycoplasma just after we brought her in December.  Got her straight to the vets that day. Vet enjoyed the experience just as much as tinsel enjoyed the attention.   Antibiotics were given and garlic and apple cider vinegar in the water.......now shes one of the healthiest there is.  Her feathers gleam and she's a strutter. 

See it's not all bad news on here

Don't be afraid to take her to your normal vet...they really do enjoy seeing something different for a change!!

Time is really of the essence but it just depends on the bird and how far her system was down before showing symptoms.

 I just wish the vets here were as accomidating as the vets in the UK. Here if it's not a big ticket item like large livestock or parrots like the avian vets see they just don't want to mess with it.
