If I get chickens for eggs at first and I want to move onto having them for meat what age should they be? How old are they when they stop laying? Would they be no good for meat after there laying days are over?

you can keep em laying eggs for 2 seasons n eat them then if you like ,and i have birds 7 yrs old still laying , rotate the birds from eggs and eat every 2 years and you can have both fatten up when they stop laying naturally to rest in second year
