Sign of Stress?
« on: February 01, 2007, 18:26 »
My welsummer hen has started to scratch a hole in the same corner of the pen. She has been doing this in the same spot for two or three days. She is still laying but appears to keep to herself in the pen. Is she getting stressed or is this normal behaviour? I have only had her for just over a fortnight and compared to the others, she is still appears quite nervous.

No. She arrived with the others. She may not appreciate being confined although the others have adapted without a hitch.
