I have got a pair of silkie hens ( a splash and a blue ) thanks to everyones help :) :D

I am haveing some problems getting the light Sussex to accept them they keep on attacking the silkies mostly the Light Sussex cockerel.

Does anyone now of a way we could get the Light Sussex to accept them ?

If you do please let me know because at the moment we have to keep them apart.!?!

Hiya, i dont know if different breeds are easier or harder to introduce to eachother but we had the same problem when we introduced our ex battery hens to the ones we already had. They have to sort out their pecking order and it can take up to 2 weeks apparently. We kept ours seperate then put them all together for short periods and within a couple of days they were all getting along fine.

ok Thank you.

We wernt sure if we should just keep them seperate because it looked nasty!

We are planning to breed some silkies so they would be seperete so it wouldnt make that much difference if we had to keep them apart untill we get the garden sorted for them to have more space.

So do you think we should let them both out at the same time untill they get used to being together??
