Title: Rare Breeds Stockists

Hello All, My husband and I are about to move from the heart of the City of London to Woking in Surrey. We are thrilled that our new house will have a garden and allotment and are planning to have a few chickens. I grew up with chickens so we are ok on most aspects of how to look after them - what is worrying me is where we will buy them from. As a child we always bought our chickens from the Wernlas Collection in south Shropshire but this is rather a distance from Woking especially as we do not yet have our own transport.

We want rare breeds from a reliable stockist. Does anyone know the nearest place to Woking? I suspect we will need to place an order for the Spring so it would be good to be able to do that as soon as we can.

as always, look at the breeders in the back of practical poultry magazine.  very helpful and listed regionally.
