Has anyone ever grown unusual snowdrops eg DoubleGalanthus Flore Pleno
or greater Galanthus Elwesii ?

Are they more attractive/more difficult etc ?

Haven't grown any of the others you mentioned, but if they're part of the snowdrop family, I can't see why they'd be difficult. Snowdrops are so dead easy to grow that I'd be surprised if the others were troublesome. If I could get them, I'd gladly plant as many as I could afford to buy.

Hi,

Most snowdrops are easy enough to grow but some can be expensive.  Try ordering from Eurobulbs, their 500 mixed snowdrop tray is good value at £50.  They have some of the more expensive ones too so have a look.

I received mine last week and planted them yesterday; by this morning they'd perked up really well.  They make the garden so cheerful this time of year.

I was going to post asking if people have ever grown snowdrops from seed. Do they have seed??
