i suppose i could call it organic when all it is is salt and vinegar so just mix up some salt and vinigar and put it into a spray bottle than spray on your weeds and it will kill them sometimes it doesn't work but it did for me it just kills them of like a normal weed killer the leaves will tern brow and the plant will die hopefully

You might find even mixes like this are now banned under EU legislation for use as herbicides. A blowlamp is a guaranteed fix for weeds.

No need to be rude.  Which TV was it on?
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

As Oldbean correctly pointed out, it is illegal to use home-made pesticides.  Irrespective of whether you put it on your own food, it is illegal.  Same as using home-made rhubarb concoction.

Just because it might have been on TV - particularly some time ago - doesn't make it legal now.  This is a public forum and although you may be derisory about someone else's comment, we have a responsibility to ensure that we do not mislead members.

I'm a bit confused about this legal stuff. I'm sure that there will be some law covering adding urine to compost. I know that I am not allowed to have a fire on our plot and I know that I am not allowed to use a hosepipe. I also know that everyone, including me, does this. Am I the only one who feels Yorkie a bit heavy handed here?

I'm hopefully not provoking a row with a moderator, just pointing out that people can make their own decisions.

PP I don't think you wasted my time or anyone else's, please don't feel that  :).

BP, for the sake of clarity, the legal stuff is covered comprehensively in this RHS extract and document:

Quote from RHS - Use of garden chemicals.

"Only products approved by the government can be used as pesticides, so home-made pesticides brewed from concoctions of rhubarb, cigarette butts or even washing-up liquid are now outside the law."

https://www.rhs.org.uk/NR/rdonlyres/06FEA701-36F2-41AC-BAFA-E3BDBD22D52C/0/c_and_e_chemical.pdf

Of course people can make their own choices in private, but as I previously said this is a public forum and we cannot be seen to condone or encourage breaking the law, which you can be prosecuted for.
