Refurbed Coops!
« on: May 06, 2011, 22:08 »
Joy very kindly let me buy her 6 little coops she doesn't want anymore because she's gone all plastic!

She did say that after she got them, discovered they weren't as well made as she had at first thought.  Brian agreed with her, so what do you all think?

From this.......

not quite all plastic - still got to get replacements for the broody ark and the pootles palace but I will need a big pootle palace now as I have got 15 lavender poot eggs (here and sat waiting)and a dozen silver mille fleur (look just like the appenzellers) eggs in the post and am after black, mottled buff, crele and cuckoo poots (any room in your incubator as I only have 3 broodies waiting for eggs at the moment?)  :D

The simplest one Brian made is this one Jak!  Only thing is, he forgot the nest box, but the silkies are in it now and they don't like the nest boxes.

It's juat a box with a pent roof, and half of the back is a door for cleaning out, but Brian put the door to one side, next tme he makes one like this he's going to put the back door in the middle, so I can reach both sides!

I didn't mean all as in ALL Joy! lol  but using the word in a slightly different context! lol :D

PS, plenty of room in incy as we sold all our eggs today, even the ones I was going to put in the incy, but I've got 5 silkie eggs I want to put in!!!

So yes, when you've got them all, bring them round!!!

got to win the next 3 batches yet lol!! The 15 that I have here will go under the broodies tomorrow -
Jim keeps reminding me that I said I wasn't hatching any this year but then I showed him the 4 lemon mille fleur sabelpoots hatched on Monday and he said they were very cute so I took that as his consent to get more
