There was an article on Norfolk Greys in September Country Smallholder. :)

have you tried the rare poultry society?
http://www.rarepoultrysociety.co.uk/
I am a member of these as they also cover the Sabelpoot breed (Dutch booted bantam) of which I have black, lavender, mottled buff and lemon millefleur :)

Hi there this is a LINK (http://www.fwi.co.uk/Articles/16/01/2009/113812/Poultry-breeder-to-produce-Applegarth-Skyline-layer.htm) to something on the Skylines
and this is a link with some information about the history of BLUE EGG LAYERS (http://www.blue-eggs.co.uk/#/history/4554275782)

As far as I'm aware skylines are hybrids not a pure breed whereas Norfolk Greys are pure breed chickens. Hybrids are created at each generation from breeder stock and generally aren't standardised by the poultry club. I presume the Applegarth is related to the breeder of this hybrid variety. If this is the case these aren't a standardised breed.

Just checked Darkbrowns link and looks like my post was correct a Applegarth Skyline is a blue egg laying hybrid produced from an old line of breeder stock which has been brought back to utility by a breeder call Applegarth. It won't be classed as a rare breed.

Ahh yes Applegarth is the person who is a relative of my Aunt, that makes sense.
