I have a Merry Tiller Titan that I no longer use and I keep it in a relatives in their garage.  As it hasnt been used for 18 months, I am thinking about selling it.

What do you guys think is a reasonable amount to sell it for?

It has double tines on each side and some small wheels I picke up for it around the time I garaged it. I think it has a 5 hp (Briggs and Stratton) and worked fine once I had cleaned the carb and changed the points etc...

Just a shame they are so heavy (mind you they dont make them like they used to! )

I would have thought that If it's a good runner it's going to sell between £250 - £350. Top end price if it is a nice tidy machine in original condition with all it's bits intact.

It was a good runner - thanks to your help in Feb 2011 - will have to give it a start and see how it goes.

the belt cover is missing, but it hasn't been repainted so can interested parties can see it in original state.

Based on what you have estimated.... I might stick it on Gumtree for £200 o.n.o and see what happens.

 rotavators/cultivators seem to be easier to sell and make the best price at the start of the gardening season in the new year, unless they they are really cheap.

I picked up a Merry Tiller Titan for £100 back in March this year, which runs but could do with a service and not in the best of condition. They are real workhorses, something like them today would could £500+ i believe
