Mares Tail and Dandelions 
So to try and keep some form of sanity (others may argue too late) I decided to treat myself to a relatively cheap macro lens for the camera.
I can't go out to do Landscape, I can't go out to do street photography, I have had a go at star trails, once done they will look the same from the garden so I thought as I can still access the lotty, macro could be the way to keep busy and get into the fresh air.
So my first two subjects are.... Dandelions and Mares Tail.

Stunning picture of the dandelion.  The mare tail looks too much like an insect for my liking.

After being in this blasted lockdown you've just inspired me to go out into my garden with my camera. I'll send them to you when my camera battery re-charges so see what you think.

Unfortunately we have two types of horsetail or whatever one wants to call them. One's the usual one you see but the other one comes from a nearby dyke. Yuk!

Thanks Aidy for those nice pics.  Excuse my ignorance, but what is a Macro Lens ?

Thought it best to google for a non techy answer  A macro lens is a lens that specifically allows you to focus extremely close to a subject.

Very interesting photos Aidy, I love the dandelion one, is the last ants on a peony bud?
GG, the one from a dyke will be the true mares tail then? Whilst the other we mostly refer to as mares tail is really horsetail.
