Lily order from T&M
« on: March 22, 2013, 08:46 »
Just received the 'Special Offer' Lilly order from T&M and the bulbs look really plump and healthy. Some have shoots already so need to be sorted out immediately.
My query is this......
The instructions that have come with the order are Ok but limited, and as the weather is not good for the next few days to put them into the garden (where I had wanted them to go), is it ok to put them into largish pots and keep them indoors? I don't have a heated greenhouse so they wouldn't do well in there I guess.
If I pot them up can I then transfer them to the garden when the weather gets better without fear of delaying / stopping flowering altogether?
I have my own cement mixer and not afraid to use it!!

Mine were delivered about a month ago, from a different company, and were potted up (in black flower bucket pots ) and put in the cold greenhouse..................they obviously think it's warm enough because they've poked through this week  :D

I do the same - pot them in large pots and put them somewhere cool until I can plant them out.
