7 x 4 shed for under £100??????
« on: April 19, 2012, 13:09 »
Hi
Got my new allotment plot last night, so eager to get started.
Been looking online today at sheds and for the size that I am looking for (7x4) I have not been able to find one for under £100!!!     Can anyone suggest a cheaper alternative or know of a supplier where I could get one for under £100???
I have tried several trusted second hand selling websites but there are none local to me (Leicestershire)...
Anyone help ???

All I can say is ..........you'll be lucky ::)

Unless you fancy making your own by recycling pallet wood

Got my 8' X 4' shed for £50:00 !    The secret - it was a show shed from one of the B & Q type places.   I cannot take all the credit, my Son saw it and snapped it up.   With a more substantial base and a few coats of good preserver, I hope it will 'see me out'.

Pop round and ask the management if any are 'end of range' bargains.   :)   Best wishes
I may be growing OLD, but I refuse to grow UP !

The other alternative is good old flea bay, even then - you'll be shocked at what they go up to............and you have to dismantle yourself!!!

I was thinking that too, got to be dead lucky to get anything for that ££ and even if you did, the quality of it is going to be very suspect anyway

even if you get a shed for £99, it'll be rubbish I'm afraid.  A recent purchase costing nearly £300 by a plot neighbour left me VERY underwelmed.  You couldn't lean on the thing for fear of falling through the walls and as for security - you wouldn't bother trying the lock, just stick your fist through the door and yank it off its pathetic hinges.

build your own for £100 and you'll get a much stringer shed, exactly how YOU want it

hi all,
Before i got my first shed I built a tool store - This was made from wood i scrounged from broken pallets etc and its about 8' long 3'wide and 3' tall it opens one side and has felt on the top , This is an ideal place to store your tools to start and cost me nothing to build.
Now I have managed to be very lucky and acquire a shed from free-cycle -I have completely refurbished it and lined the inside with pallet wood to stop people breaking in (our site got done over within the first month)
The cheapest way to build a tool store while you wait to either acquire one or find one cheap enough.
