Broody hen
« on: May 14, 2015, 21:21 »
One of my 1 year old Rhode Island Reds hens has went broody for the first time. I phoned a friend who came and took her away, he is going to try and put her on fertile eggs tomorrow. Will she stay broody or will the move put her off ?.

How long is a piece of string ? it will depend on that particular birds temperament ! But as a whole the breed are quite reliable as broodie's  :)
