storing gladioli corms
« on: October 14, 2008, 10:56 »
Took up some corms about a month ago and they have all dried out.
Took up the remainder yesterday - so really want to know how to keep them over winter to replant in a new site next year
Any advice please

Clean em up a bit, remove any soil and loose/dead stuff. Then dig out a nice clean Shoe box from the bottom of you're wardrobe. Take the old shoes down to the recycle (oops going a bit off topic here)
and store them in a cool dry place, with the lid on.. (i.e. The garage - if you have one :) )

Then forget all about them till you come to clean out the garage, as I did and found them on Sunday.

Or do what I do, and keep the shoes until they're back in fashion (what comes around, goes around).
But apart from that I agree clean up, dry out and store.  Good luck, Mrs Bouquet.  PS:  You could recycle shoes my way, especially if they are Jimmy Choos etc, I would be grateful..  Mrs Bouquet
