broccolli attacked

I've been away for a couple of days over BH and have come back to stripped broccolli :( I have now sprayed the catapillars with washing up liquid but is there any hope of recovery for my broccolli or is it too late? Next year will def net them all

Not an expert, but i'd say if they are heavily stripped its unlikely you will get much..  Definately net next year.  Always a good idea with Brassica of any kind. Although I think this year the butterflies have been particularly prolific.

My sprouts got stripped like this over one weekend the other week. next year im going to build a cage to keep all my caterpillar food in. Ive left the sprouts in to feed to the chickens when they arrive at the weekend.
