Title: Slugs eating my onions !!!
Post by: hubballi on August 15, 2009, 11:09
I can't believe the tops of my spring onions have been chewed off by slugs. Also, my main onions have very poor tops and the bulbs are still not too big.

Can I still save them ?

I would have thought onions would be too strong for slugs. I actually don't like this time of year because all the very tiny new snails get everywhere and are hard to find. They climb my raspberry plants, runner beans and everything else. Everything is going leggy and the cabbage white is in full swing. Give me spring anytime.
