a brooder out of a cardboard box again  :lol:  :lol:

the little Ahem darlings eat it  :lol:  :lol:

they will be pooping card for the next week or so  :lol:  :lol:

Hardboard would be better !

My chicks lived happily in a cardboard box for 7 weeks - then when I gave them a nice cube to sleep in they tried to sleep in the cardboard box that i put in the run to help them get up onto the ladder!

My brooder is hardboard lined, but they do make a corrugted card to make brooder rings, and I do use cardboard boxes if any of my small chics are pecked.  In fact the ones that were in the big box last week tried to eat their way out!!!! lol   So I know what you mean NP!!!!
