Mine is very much on the way, below is a photo from last year; That's 3 plants over about 15ft, I think my neighbour was so concerned it may swallow his plot he's put a fence up! Roobob wine on the menu this year.

It depends on the variety. My Timperley Early is well on and I will be looking to pull some soon. But some of the later varieties eg Victoria are not showing any signs of life yet - so it depends what variety you have.

My crowns are starting to show now, planted them last year, timperly and hawks champagne , hope they get big, I love  rubarb crumble with a hint of ginger.  yummy  :)

I have some that never went to sleep over the winter and some just coming up and no signs at all of some. :D Wish I could remember the names of any of it. ::)

Can I butt in and ask a quick question?

I have been forcing my rhubarb and had to change from an upturned bucket to a full size dustbin, as the stems are getting very long.  My question is, do I keep it covered until mid/late March, when I am expecting to harvest it, or do I now take off the bucket/bin to let it have some light now?

If the stems are long enough - you eat them now  ;)

Unforced, early varieties of rhubarb can be ready to eat in March (I've actually eaten some of mine already, because it has been so mild this winter)

I also have the T E  variety foot long under a dustbin, will be picking it within the week maybe make some rhubarb jam,and a crumble with last years rasps mmmmmmmmmmmmmm :tongue2:  ;)
