And another Plant ID
« on: July 29, 2015, 15:57 »
Hi again

While clearing a mound of bindweed growing over something at the end of the garden I discovered some kind of bush/small tree growing in a large tub. I don't know what it is, but what's left of it after the bindweed has tried to choke it looks like some kind of fruiting bush? Any ideas?

Yes it does look like a currant bush, whether it is a fruiting one, I'm not sure, but it looks too woody to be the flowering sort.  Wait and see what happens next year!

If it smells of black currant then it is ... if not it is probably a red currant. Less likely to be a white currant imho ;)
