Hi does anybody here know a method to straighten runner beans for shows.
I know Simon Smith has a method .

Wrap them in a damp tea towel as straight as you can get them (even pop in a plastic rule) and bung 'em in the fridge overnight.
Cheers. Tony.

Thanks will be doing that method. :)

hang a glass of water under them and keep lowering it down ;)

As soon as you spot likely contenders growing for the bench, gently squeeze each immature seed until you get a little pop. When all of the beans seed are basically killed, all of the energy goes into growing nice and fast and straight, rather than growing to fill out seeds.
keep it to yourself though!!! ;)
