Not that I dare change the old mans teabags but the pyramid bags (PG Tips) don't compost very well. Do others compost better?

I put all our Yorkshire tea bags on the compost heap and they do take a while but get there in the end seems a shame to just bin them.

You could always break the bag off and just compost the tea :)

I use "Scottish Blend" which is the same pyramid bag tea made for Scottish (softer) water. I don't really notice a problem with the bags composting..

My Twinings English Breakfast do fine, as did the builders' tesco tea .... (they thought my afternoon cup a bit wimpish :D)

I think that you'll have to drink a lot of tea to get any benefit on your compost heap!
Every little helps though!

The posh teapigs don't compost well because there seems to be nylon or something in the actual bag. ???
