white spots on leeks

Could anyone help out.........I have leeks planted and they have been growing brilliantly. However, 2 plants have shown signs of an almost white spotting on the upper leaves and I have not got a clue what it is.

It's not the outer edges of the leaves but they still appear to be growing well.

Any thoughts about what might be causing this?

I am completely ignorant, but know some of the onions on our site have mildew, so maybe it is that?
