Broke down the first of my many wooden pallets a few weeks ago, but have only just got around to making something.
Thought that I would start off easy by making a rustic looking kitchen shelf.
Cut strips to length and sanded down the edges to create a more well worn look, which I feel has come across very well, unfortunately it doesn't seem to come across that well in the photos.
Here are a few photos taken:

Very impressive, well done :D

Ok, I'm seriously impressed!
I recently extended my wood store using some pallets much to the surprise of my long suffering husband  but this is on an altogether higher level!
Like!

Thanks guys
Have a few more ideas up my sleeve, including a few cold frames.
Built my two youngsters a playhouse out in the garden, so have decided that I will be building my own shed on my plot.
Was hoping to start that this week, but the weather has put paid to that! >:(

How long did the shelf take to sand , I am assuming you used an electric sander.

Didn't take too long, I used a stone on a bench grinding machine to remove the very rough surface, and wear down the edges. Doing this also gave it a slight burnt effect which is an added look that I like.
I did finish it off with a quick going over with an orbital sander but only on the exposed areas.
I would say it took about 40 minutes to do all the pieces.
