Title: new cover for frame
Post by: Madame Cholet on October 03, 2012, 08:07
A friend has given me one of those tall plastic frame shelved cloche things less the cover. should be ok in my garden as its not too windy. I was going to try to womble up a cover with small bubble wrap any tips please. i could have a rolled up door ant the front. What type of tape would you use?

Just want to use it for my plants when the come out of the spare room to grow on before planting out.

Were you going to tape the pieces together or sew them with edging tape?  I would be inclined to stick them together with duct tape and just fold the door up with bulldog grips.  But of you were going to sew them you would need a ribbon tape.  Sewn would probably last longer, but sticky taped would probably last the winter with care.
Let us know how you get on.

I'd agree duct tape or perhaps polytunnel repair tape which would be aesthetically more pleasing as it is clear. :) Duct tape will be cheaper though. ;)
