Title: Old greenhouse frame with polytunnel cover
Post by: mumofstig on November 17, 2018, 18:04
I've been putting together an old 6 x 8 greenhouse frame and bought one of those cheap green polytunnel covers for it.
Anyone got any thoughts on whether it would be worth covering the sharp edges with pipe cladding/hotspot tape or adding some battens to support the poly?  I wouldn't expect to get more than a couple of years out of the cover anyway, but don't want it to rip to pieces in the first windy spell that comes along  ;)

I'd put hotspot tap on the edges myself, or at least a double layer of gaffa tape just reduce the chances of tearing.

Definitely, or the corners of the frame will poke through the plastic cover very quickly. A layer of hot spot tape for padding, then gaffer tape to secure it properly as it can come off sometimes
