Scared chickens
« on: March 04, 2011, 10:31 »
Got the window men round today putting in some double glazing and so had to put the hens in the run . They are not happy and have gone into the coop and look scared to death they have never been cooped up like this before I always let them do whatever they like but wood is falling from the sky and I'm afraid one will get hurt. I've never seen them look so confused. hope they will forgive me. I keep telling myself it's for there own good but it's hard being the bad guy

I'm sure they'll forget about it after a hand full of meal worms once the window men have gone

Meal worms, matie!  Works miracles every time!   ;)
When I die I will slide in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand and chocolate in the other, screaming, "Whooo hooo!  What a ride!" as life is to be enjoyed to the fullest!

Well brussel sprouts mixed corn and meal worm mash seemed to sort them out all is well and I don't think they have the hump anymore. I don't know how people can keep there hens in runs all day mine would go mad ! Unless it was a nice big run  ;)
